I recently went to a local surplus store and made a decision on a livingroom package. I made a desposit to reserve to come back the next day. I went home and decided it is not really what i wanted but i had decided to take another set for my living room. So the next day i went back to the store to cancel my first order. The assistant manager served me never asked was there anything else i would like but just abruptly told me that she never had the money to refund my deposit of $100.00 cash in the store. I asked her can she put it back on my debit card then and she replied no it has to be refunded the same way i placed the $100.00 which was cash. She told me that i had to return to the store when she has the cash in the store to give me my refund and that she would call me and let me know when to return. Several hours (8 hours) later I returned to the store to get my refund as the store was soon closing. I did get my refund of $100.00. But hey what kinbd of store is this that a customer has to return to get back a deposit and with poor customer service not evevn asking if there was something else that i would be interested in purchasing. I will never return to this store again.
"My local bookshop would not give me a refund even though I had a receipt. I submitted a complaint on MeasuredUp and the people at corporate contacted me to get me a refund. Thanks MeasuredUp."
